Y'all have meant so much to me over the past year, I knew a different kind of celebration was in order. I wanted to celebrate this blogiversary in a big way. Naturally, I looked to my friends!

I first met Beth and Dave of Atlanta Culinary Tours when I joined them for their tour of Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward. I had a ball, and absolutely fell in love with the concept. (You mean I get to eat and learn things at the same time?!) Best of all, the Tours keep growing. Beth and Dave are constantly adding new tour dates and new concepts. One of their most recent additions is their tour of Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roastery.

If you live in Atlanta but haven't heard of these guys yet, you're probably already a fan and just don't know it. Their coffee is served at some of The A's favorite restaurants, including Highland Bakery, West Egg Café, Murphy's, and Miller Union. You may have sampled them at Aurora, or at their own coffeeshop, Dancing Goats...or perhaps you were lucky enough to attend their Scoutmob event.

Even if you are familiar with this local roastery, did you know that their beans come from some of the finest coffee plantations all over the world? Did you know that Batdorf is one of the most ethically responsible coffee companies in the country? Did you know that they use 100% renewable energy in their roasting process?

This event will raise money for Action4Words, an organization that brings classrooms and books to Ethiopia. There will be Ethiopian food, music, and of course, coffee! Tickets are $20.
