If You're Afraid of Butter, Use Cream!

One of my favorite things about our newlywed life is how badass our new kitchen is.  We went from college hand-me-downs to real grown-up goods overnight.  Our new kitchen is mostly black and white (hopefully with some stainless steel appliances eventually), but there are some accents of "ice" (the name of the color according to KitchenAid) and red.  I was having a hard time pulling off this theme, and I felt like it needed a little somethin' somethin' to pull it all in.  I searched all over Etsy for a unique print, but nothing I found was quite right.  I decided to just do it myself.

I envisioned creating a pretty print of a famous quote...something that worked for the kitchen, but also for life.  I found this gem from Julia Child:

Find something you're passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.

By the way, the title of this post is another great Child-sim.

Then, I found a $5 frame in the cheap college section of Target.  The frame is an 8x10, but matted to fit a 5x7 image.  I made my print in iWork's Pages, and proudly displayed it in my new and improved kitchen:
