Do you see it? The magnets holding up my little to do lists? Yeah, they don't really go with the rest of the theme. I needed something more fashionable. Naturally, I ran to my nearest Paper Source (love them!), where I discovered all kinds of lovely magnets:
{all images from Paper Source: Cube Mighty Magnets (6 for $9.95), Daisy Collection Magnets (10 for $15.95), and Bling Magnets (5 for $10.50)}
The only problem was that I just couldn't justify spending $10 on just a few magnets. Then, I ventured over to the scrapbooking section. I looked through stickers and embellishments, and eventually discovered a set of eight little plastic flowers for under $5. Here's what I did with them:
In the original packaging, the flowers came attached to a sheet of paper. They weren't stickers, so there was a little bit of adhesive stuck to the back of each one. I removed the adhesive to create a level surface.
Then, I cut up a magnet that I had lying around.
Each magnet needs to be small enough to fit on the back of the flower.
Finally, I adhered the magnet to the flower using just a tiny bit of glue from my glue gun. Et voila!
Ahh, much better! Cute magnets for half the price! I'll bet this would be really cute with buttons or perhaps something with felt. Have you come up with any cheap DIY projects lately? Please share!

Hmmmmmmm,and did you know there is cuttable magnet blocks or strips [Michaels]? I may still own some you made as a child from painted wood or sculpty creations. LOVE THESE
How cute!! I love this!
Love it.
You amaze me. Love, love, love.
Haha Mom, I thought about going to Michael's and buying some of those magnet strips, but Paper Source is on the other side of town and I didn't feel like going all the way over there. I just used a magnet I had at home (one of those pizza delivery or vet phone number magnets that we have 15 of probably). That's funny that we both that we both thought of that though!
